Speedrunning !!

Former world record holder ^^

(please don't mind the fact that the game is hardly ran ;-;)

Portal inbounds no SLA

My friend taught me the route for this, I run it purely for fun. My best time is 17:58.21, which (if I were to upload it) would place as 432nd best in the world.

Super Sami Roll

This is my competetive game and where my WR's (used to) live.

Here's a playlist of my SSR IL submissions! Some of these even used to be world records!

What's SSR? Super Sami Roll is a really cute underrated indie platformer that I highly recommend you check it out (and possibly even join the scene ♥). The game's movement feels fun, and the levels are practically designed to be broken with creative routings.

What's an IL? An IL is an Individual Level run. For IL's the community uses in-game time (IGT), which makes doing runs a whole lot less painful.

Why reset mid-run? Because ILs use IGT (which doesn't count during pauses and the "Ready, Let's Roll!" animation) it can be faster to trigger a checkpoint using their generous trigger range and warp to them. If this sounds exploitable, don't worry, we have rules in place that prevent you from pausing for any other reason, or reseting to a checkpoint more than once.

That bounce was crazy! One of the biggest differences between IL and any% runs (aside from the riskier routes) are probably the ground bounces. With insane precision (or what most runners prefer to call luck) you can gain some serious speed by landing ground pounds in specific spots. The success rate on some of these bounces are absurdly low, so they aren't usually incorperated in the any% route outside of a very early level.

Tounge Offset? Another thing that makes IL routes unique is the ability to set up what we call tongue offsets. SSR has a glitch that allows you to "offset" your next grapple upwards. The glitch is performed by grappling while Sami is in the squish animation of a ground pound. Once the offset has been done your next grapple will aim higher than normal, which allows Sami to either reach higher platforms or climb walls faster. The reason this is more effective in IL's is because you can setup the offset before making an attempt. I usually trim the offset setup from the start of my runs, but you can notice it is active if you look closely!
