Garbodor my beloathed ~
A Standard legal variation of the Maractus deck! For when F block rotates out in a few months: This deck isn't super reliant on F block cards outside of Rotom V and Forest Seal Stone. For Arezu, replace with Jacq. Hisuian Heavy Ball can be swapped with a second Pecharunt ex. We cross our fingers and pray for some options to replace the Rotom engine, I honestly have no idea ;-; Probably just throw in 3 Budews and call it a day.

The deck hasn't gone under a lot of playtesting yet, so a few cards are sort of guesses as to what should be here. I've marked them with this red circle to indicate they could probably be replaced. Replacement ideas include Penny, Ultra Ball and Lumineon V. |

The Goal

The core of the deck ~
Just like their cactus counterpart, Garbodor throws Tool cards at the opponent for 50 damage each. Unlike their counterpart, Garbodor has a few key differences:
- ♥ They are a Stage 1 Pokemon, not a basic.
- ♥ Their attack costs 1 Energy instead of 2.
- ♥ They exist entirely within Standard.
That last point is especially important, as it means we cannot rely on Adventure Bag for unholy amounts of Tool searching. Instead we opt in for the far less interesting Snorlax-Leftovers recursion, allowing Garbodor to attack for 200 damage easily every turn.
This deck leads itself to a very simple gameplan; collect all the Leftovers and bench 2 Snorlaxes, then thanks to the 1 Energy attack cost the deck has no downtime if you're forced to trade.
In a given game you're unlikely to use more than 2 Tools in their intended manner, usually Forest Seal Stone and a Binding Mochi, which gives you a respectable once-per-game 250 additional burst damage. Tacked on to the 200 damage regular attack this allows you to kill a god, should your opponent be running one.

Pretty self-explainitory, these guys get you your Leftovers back. You're always going to want exactly 2 Snorlaxes on your bench at all times.
On top of using them for attacks, the Leftovers make great discard fodder during the setup phase. Discarding them to play Secret Box is highly favourable, as well as for Earthen Vessel. Especially useful before your first attack as you can discard the Leftovers, return them, then discard them again for the attack.
Be careful of Boss' or Catchers. This deck runs Switch and Pecharunt ex to get around this, but without proper setup Budew can easily shut you down and force you to top deck an answer. If this concerns you, consider running some Jet Energy instead of Switch, or additional copies of Pecharunt ex.
While your greatest assist, also your greatest liability.

Supporting Staff
Pecharunt ex ~
Doubling as both a get-in and a damage boost for Garbodor using Binding Mochi, Pecharunt ex is a valuable target to search early. The attack can be useful in a pinch too, especially if you aren't able to reccur Garbodor fast enough. Use Subjugating Chains to break through Budew locking Garbodor out of the active slot.
Rotom V ~
Exactly identical to it's usage in the Maractus deck. Instant Charge is a fantastic ability which should be used any turn you can't use Chuck. Additionally, Rotom V is the only target for Forest Seal Stone in the deck. Also invaluable for breaking Budew lock due to the obsurd card draw.
Radiant Greninja ~
Another form of card draw. This deck doesn't run many Energy cards, so use with caution. You know how this card works.
Genesect ~
This deck has absolutely no worries with going first, seeing that a turn 1 attack is off the cards anyway. Perfect opportunity to set up Genesect and mess with your opponent's plans. It comes at the cost of 50 less burst damage for Garbodor, which is a trade you will have to use your intuition for. Good Tools to burn for this ability include the second copy of Forest Seal Stone or Patrol Cap. TM Evolution doesn't work and you really should not use Leftovers for this. Binding Mochi will work in a pinch.
Who to prioritise?
Given the limited search opportunities, the hardest part of piloting this deck is identifying what the best search will be. As each of these cards are one-ofs, this is an especially important skill for deciding which to target for your singular Hisuian Heavy Ball.
For Hisuian, generally I would put Pecharunt ex as top priority, and Radiant Greninja/Genesect as lowest. Pecharunt is your best answer to Budew + Boss', and being stuck without that answer almost loses you the game on the spot.
For Nest Ball, it's a lot more sensitive to the game state. Radiant is probably always going to be your last choice. Genesect's importance weighs heavily on your opponent's reliance on their ACE SPEC. You want to play Secret Box as fast as possible, so the most valuable time to search Rotom V out is to Forest Seal Stone for Secret Box.
Bench Management
Your bench can only hold 5 Pokemon. After the 2 Snorlaxes, that's 3. Buddy-Buddy? That's 1 left. Yikes. If you can only have one of the four, take Pecharunt ex. If you're feeling greedy, only search 1 Trubbish with the Buddy-Buddy Poffin. It will scarcely ever be worth removing a Snorlax from your bench to make room, so choose wisely.

Why not Treasure Tracker?
I get the idea, Treasure Tracker searches all copies of Leftovers and a Binding Mochi or Forest Seal Stone to boot. But here's the thing; Secret Box is far more powerful. What does Secret Box do for you instantly? Well it's an Item, a Tool, a Stadium and a Supporter. No kidding. Shut, I'm explaining.
The Tool and Stadium searches are straightforward. One is a Tool and the other grabs a Tool. That's two.
The Supporter is a little trickier. If you haven't played your Supporter for turn, it grabs an Arven, which is another Item and one more Tool, bringing us to 3. What is more likely is that you already used Arven this turn to get the Box in the first place, in which case you're still at 3 Items, but now instead you grab either another Arven for next turn or an Arezu to set up your board. Either way, we're at three Leftovers already.
The Item from both Box and Arven are situational, but can fix almost any problem in your gamestate. Need a Snorlax? There he is. Down on Energy? Have a Vessel. One-of got prized? Keep yourself in the game. And getting two of those? Incredibly valuable.
Secret Box can also play off Leftovers you already had, generating card advantage for free.
Now let's look at Treasure Tracker. It gets you five Tools, okay sure. But you're missing out on this/next turn's Supporter, a Stadium bump and TWO Items. The deck can struggle to search Garbodor without Arezu. The deck can struggle to hit Energy without Earthen Vessel. The deck can struggle to keep or break momentum without the right Pokemon on bench. Treasure Tracker does nothing to help these issues. It also turns Arven from the greatest utility chain starter into just 6 Tools, which is a serious downgrade in my eyes.
